Router or modem issue RT-AX82U

Hey everyone. I have an RT-AX82U. I have always enjoyed it!

I recently had to switch internet companies because one was discontinueing. I switched to Rogers in Canada. Anyways, I didn't really have any issues when I was at the other provider with their modem in bridge mode with the RT-AX82U.

Once I got the Rogers modem, I have seen some buffering and slight lag at times the past couple of days. I get approx 560mpbs upload and 30 download. However, when I take it out of bridge mode and use only the Rogers modem, I'm getting 630 Mbps and 30 upload. I was hoping someone could help me on this matter as I figured that the RT-AX82U should be the one with the higher speeds. I'm not sure if it's the issue or what. Any insight? Maybe a setting on the RT-AX82U can fix this?

I've also switched out my ethernet cable too, and same thing. Thank you!

Please check if QoS has accidentally been turned on.  (It happened to me once on a different router, I don't have a RT-AX82U, but strange poor speed tests resulted).

So upload and download speed is swapped?

Hello! Thanks for the reply.

They haven't swapped. But when I hook in my RT-AX82U to the Rogers modem for bridge mode, it's getting roughly 80-100mbps download less than when I'm using the Rogers modem without the RT-AX82U.. so using just the rogers modem it's getting 80-100mbps higher.

So I was wondering why the RT-AX82U would be slowing it down? Surely it's a setting somewhere?

Jzchen, thank you! That helped! I didn't even think of turning QoSing off. It was enabled. Now I'm getting 850 down 30 up. Thanks again! I really appreciate it. Noted for next time 😁
