Does ASUS not care about the safety of its customers? Is others routers don't get updates either (2023/12/18 last update) or maybe only this product is ignored?

In the UK, provisions of the UK PSTI have been in effect since April 2024 where the manufacturer declares by when the device will receive security updates, and penalties can be imposed for failure to do so. In the EU, such regulations will come into effect in August 2025.
For now, we have to count on people in the UK to start reporting ASUS for not meeting the requirements

Maybe a couple of points. If you look at the firmware update page in the Web GUI, it discusses certain updates which do not require your knowledge or permission. Those are probably happening on a continuing basis.
Beyond that, as far as Firmware updates, I would think if there was nothing that needed to be repaired, a firmware update would not give you any advantage. If there were something on your system that needed fixing, then of course a firmware update should be expected to take care of that particular problem. Hopefully, feedback for those situations has been submitted.
I am no longer using my GT-AXE16000, but I could reconnect it if it might help.

Just wanna add that i agree with this post. Using axe-16000 and its terrible. Lack of security updates + lack of bug fixes. I was looking at gt-98be to replace axe16000 that one is even worse with amount of bugs. Not to mention if you get rev1 you will need to return it and get it replaced by rev2. Also that router lack updates aswell.
