Greetings,

I have read through the thread, and it isn't very clear. Is AiMesh working with this firmware?
I have returned the other routers. But before I invest in new routers I would like to know if AiMesh is working

Thanks

I ended up doing another reset after repeated 5g-1 drops to my RT-ac5300 in bridge mode (which seems to be mostly working again but only if manually navigating to the dhcp server page and disabling it, manually navigating to the the firewall and disabling it and setting lan ip to static, reverts to default ip address if set to auto-obtain). still had repeated disconnects. Finally changed the rt over to use Gt's 5g-2 (signal strength not as good as the 5g-1) and its been stable for the last few hours. I can only laugh at this point, 5g-2 stability finally seems to be fixed but at the expense of the stability of the 5g-1.

Still getting the strange errors in the log with tainted kernel. Not getting those errors in the RT-ac5300 (bridge mode), an RT-AC88u (ap mode) or at another location, an RT-AX88u in router mode. All running newest firmware.

With the exception of bridge mode in general and qos on the ax88u, the RT routers seem to be working well.

I lost my 5G-2 in Smart Connect after upgrading to this new firmware. My AiMesh node is connected through cable connection and don't need 5G-2 as AiMesh backhaul. Any way to turn this off? WiFi connection keeps disconnecting my clients as well. In the mean time, I downgrade back to 3.0.0.4.384.32799. Thanks.

On Time Scheduling edited Times are gone, get empty List after some Minutes (added clients perm blocked), Reboot also dont help.

Thanks, Cyberlipe. The reason that I bought this expensive router is the 2nd 5G like my old Netgear R8000. Asus should give us option to turn on/off 2nd 5G for AiMesh backhaul. If this is not fix in the future version, this router becomes useless and I will stuck with 3.0.0.4.384_32799.

hi
does your 5ghz-2 shows its mac address?
see my issue.

With 3.0.0.4.384_32799, I can see client connected to 5G - 2.

Having to reboot the router almost daily for wireless clients to be able to connect. I'm using the GT in a business office with up 35 devices that need to STAY connected. This router has been out long enough that the basic functions should be working without problems. What I have is a router that is still in beta testing 2 YEARS after release. I've had enough of this disaster. Ordered a TP-Link Archer AX6000 to replace the GT.
