Where is everyone getting these beta firmwares from? Can I sign up somewhere for the beta program? I am now contstantly losing WiFi connection (connectes but no internet). Wired connections work fine. I have to turn WiFi (all 3) to off then turn them back on from a wired device.

The link was posted in this thread.

You might want to try to auto-reboot the router every 24 hours. There is a setting just for that in ADMINISTRATION - SYSTEM - BASIC CONFIG. It's a workaround, not a fix.

Tried that reboot would just drop internet and not come back. I forgot to mention that the power cycling router does not fix the issue. I HAVE to turn all 2 wireless connections off and on again to fix the issue.

I was also looking for the newest beta listed: 384_45108 that link you provided is 384_32874 which still has know wifi issues.

I also wanted to know if there was a way to sign up for Beta testing not just receive the files.

many users (me include) have wifi drops and need to restart the router to solve it temporarily or reeconnect the wifi devices, but cable is still stable (a joke to call this a *gaming wifi router*)

asus have a huge amount of bugs in this router firmware, but i'm not really sure that they will/can fix this

here another link to a beta firmware:

Last night i had tried the new beta firmware for ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 9.0.0.4.384_45108-g7e57509.
Download --> https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/5780C499D4504B3888A1A357B71F9C7CY

And then, i tried VPN Fushion with OpenVPN by ExpressVPN works perfectly.
I set VPN on specific device vpn works, and the other device not connected vpn.

But the wireless on 2,4 GHz not stable, sometimes my smartphone disconnected.

Hopefully, ASUS Team launch new stable firmware soon.

That's all information that i can report here.

Thanks.

is there maybe a list what bugs the firmware enginners will solve/try to solve? a non-binding statement is enough for now

How come there is no formal communication on releases of beta firmware.

How does a customer learn about the availability of the beta firmware and the related bug fixes.

Does ASUS expect the struggling customers to keep checking this forum and trial and error approach.

Hello

I would like to test version GT-AC5300 9.0.0.4.384_45108-g7e57509.

Please confirm if AIMESH is working with this firmware version.

Still finding some VPN bugs after enabling, disabling and delete VPN/Client profiles (This test I spammed 16 profiles), this causes system to go on to system stability problem which i needed to restore my settings and reupload the configuration file in order for VPN to work again

I`ve had access to 2 or 3 version of beta software, and its was always a link in the context of some issue reported on the forum. (so does not seem to be a structured thing)
I`ve tried the version GT-AC5300 9.0.0.4.384_45108-g7e57509 and most of my 2.4ghz clients could no connect.
I would venture a guess that the next production version will be lower than 45108, and will contain some of the issues fixed on 45108

I wonder if ASUS able to setup a firmware bug draft for each users to complain their bugs, kinda confusing for them also when the feedback function is not working and there is not enough of firmware technician to guide or collect complains and provide feedback on each case.

asus should open a beta repository for this router

it should finally someone from asus report and explain the situation, why takes the development so long, why asus is releasing firmwares that is so unstable and not working?

what is the team working on this firmware?

questions over questions...

The beta firmware link https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/5780C499D4504B3888A1A357B71F9C7CY is not working anymore... does anyone have the new active link. Also, how do you find the beta URL.

Also, is there a beta repository for Signature version?
