Problems with GT-BE98 and MLO

Hi all,

I have two GT-BE98 and they are connected using MLO. Then, I added an ASUS RT-BE92U (which in theory support also MLO). Ok, now the two GT arre not connected via MLO anymore. If I disconnect the RT, then the two GT come back to MLO connection, but every time I turn on the RT, the MLO is off.

Any idea.

Also, every time the RT is on, the general functionality of the wifi is worst.

Until a new firmware update is released, try the RT-BE92U as an Access Point (since it is wired).  It helps to have WiFi Agile Multiband enabled in conjunction.

I don't have a third Wi-Fi 7 router so I can't verify.  Are you able to check the box shown in the attachment?

Are you using wireless backhaul?

Yes, but the problem is not the two GT, it is the RT. If I connect it to the system, everything go crazy!.

This is with wireless backhaul, mixed wireless and wired (Ethernet), or (unlikely) Ethernet Backhaul?

It's okay/understandable if you add a 3rd router with wireless backhaul that MLO Backhaul disappears.  Bandwidth has to be shared one router to the other two.  This should not make the WiFi "go crazy" though:

1.  Make sure all routers have the latest firmware?

2.  Remove the RT-BE92U from AiMesh, hard/factory reset it, add it back as a node and observe.

3.  If still having trouble remove it again, hard/factory reset, then install it in Repeater Mode until a new firmware is released for either model router, then try AiMesh again.

Thanks for the info.

It is mixed. RT is  wired backhaul, but both GT are wireless.

Until a new firmware update is released, try the RT-BE92U as an Access Point (since it is wired).  It helps to have WiFi Agile Multiband enabled in conjunction.
