Please help! My GT-BE98 PRO too slow on 10 GE WAN - only getting 3-4Gbps. If the Tech-guy from my ISP came to perform a test, bypass the Asus GT-BE98, he could reach 8Gbps. Also we tried to change to TP-Link router, and could bet 6-7Gbps. It seems to be GT-BE98 max speed limitation. Tried with and without QoS and to no avail. Running on latest firmware too. Anyone has this issue? Should I sent to service center to diagnose?

You may want to describe your exact configuration. Such as, are you using the normal setup for your ISP or bypassing some component?
I do not have Fiber but have seen other threads on this same situation.

Thanks for replying.
Test-1) Not complicated. ISP engineer tested direct access from his notebook (bypassed the Asus GT-BE98 Wifi router) to internet connecting to the modem (10Gbps WAN port) with speed test reaching 8gbps.
Test-2) Performed Speedtest on GT-BE98 Wifi router directly to internet, max speed only 2-3gbps.

Test-1) ISP engineer tested direct access from his notebook (bypassed the Asus GT-BE98 Wifi router) to internet connecting to the modem (10Gbps WAN port) with speed test reaching 8gbps.
Test-2) Performed Speedtest (using Internet Speedtest feature) on GT-BE98 Wifi router directly to internet, max speed only 2-3gbps via same modem (10Gbps WAN port).
Test-3A) Performed Speedtest from ISP engineer’s laptop connected ro 10Gbps LAN port of Asus GT-BE98 and speed only reached (2-3gbps) through WAN (10Gbps) link on same ISP modem.
Test-3B) Similar to above but this time replaced the ASUS GT-BE97 with another TP-Link router (using 10Gbps LAN, and 10Gbps WAN link to same modem and able to reach 7-8Gbps (max)

Did you ever do Test-1 by connecting your computer directly to the modem?
The fact both of you got the same speeds through the router, assuming the Ethernet cable was verified, does not look like the router is allowing the bandwidth.
You said you already checked the QoS so that is probably not involved.
Do you have IPv6 enabled?
Is the TP-Link router an older model?
Did the Tech ever mention anything regarding spoofing some ISP number on the ASUS router?

IPv6 is disabled. TP-Link is latest WIFI7 EB810v https://www.tp-link.com/sg/service-provider/wifi-router/eb810v/.
i have to rely his special equipment RJ45 (10Gbps) to test.

@Saltgrass Old Internet service used to be sold as a single device only, ie a PC. If you then try to swap in a router to share they could catch you and disable service because they can check that the MAC address is different. Cloning the MAC address of the initially serviced PC could mask this. (There is at least one other way that I don't know about how they check because the old Charter Communications would do stop service, until you reconnected the original PC)...
@mindyourlang Have you tried going into switch control and enabling Jumbo Frame? You could I guess last ditch try to clone the TP-Link MAC address.
Under Advanced Settings -> LAN -> Switch Control (tab) -> Jumbo Frame Enable

Checked it is already enabled

Thanks for suggesting. I had tried enabling jumbo frame and also cloned the TL-Link address but to no avail. Seems like limitation on the hardware? I’m not sure either and I have exhausted of all idea. Last resort send the device for servicing?

Definitely contact ASUS support. I'm afraid our service is 1 Gbps fiber and I have nothing (2 10 G Ethernet clients, I only have 1), to test 10 Gbps throughput.
