Make Future Router Feature Suggestions Here!

Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

Please enable 5G-2 UNII-4 Channels for AXE16000 in the United States. From the Asus USA website, it clearly states the 5G has 3 160Mhz channels, which the last channel should be UNII-4.2024-04-28_20-37-14.jpg

I used to be a Netgear customer.
However, since switching to the Asus GT-AX11000 router, I miss the "access control" function.

Perhaps this function can be implemented via a software update.

Here  is the link to my request.

I see on the ASUS international site a GT-BE19000 is coming.  TP-Link is the only one offering a BE33000.  ASUS is going the wrong way, IMHO....

What are you talking about? Asus has the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro which is BE30000 class and the Asus ZEnWIFI BE30000 mesh. Please learn to read some tech specs before spitting venom.

I'm aware of them.  Still waiting for the BQ16 Pro to be released as a single to get one...

I have the RT 86U Pro router but I use it in "Access Point" mode and it seems the Guest Network and Vlan support is lacking (Guest doesnt have intranet access thus not working).

Please keep Guest Networking working in AP mode and/or improve Vlan in this scenario.

Have control of IP / IP range restrictions, bandwidth.

Current method is control of mac addresses.

This method is somewhat bypassed when using parental controls and devices that use randomised mac addresses.

Control can be taken back by controlling IP's/range bandwidth etc

I think updated documentation or whitepapers clearly showing how to get optimal networks setup for the latest features, considering the latest wifi 7 devices.  Example - how to mesh two or more MLO capable routers (98pro, 96U) and configure the MLO so it works best with iPhone 16 to maximize speed.  Some of the docs show older UI.  Often there is more than one way to do things.  MLO has at least 3 ways to set it up.  Capability varies (I think) depending on backhaul type.  We need a white paper to guide configuration for the newest tech....thank you!

I love the USB Applications option!  Super helpful for grabbing stuff.  Is there a way to integrate IPFS as a USB Application?  Being able to specify a gateway, pinning, and sharing would be very helpful and integrate with a modern Web 3.0 technology.
