Make Future Router Feature Suggestions Here!

Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

What i would like to see on Asus routers is a phone port.

All ISP have a Modem/router with 2 phone ports, when the ISP modem/router is swapped for a Asus router the phone port is missing and i cant connect my home phone anymore, only a Fritzbox has a phone port and you only need the sip code plus password from the ISP to make it get to work.

If you insist on putting unicorn vomit RGB on your network devices, actually making it do something useful. Like giving network statuses. Like maybe how loaded your bandwidth is (either via colour change or speeding up effect transitions, like 'breathing' faster). Maybe how hard the CPU's are working, something. Being able to put RGB on a router, but no activity lights on the wired ports really seems like having the wrong priorities. At least if you have to have RGB, cause it is 'Gamer', at least make it useful.

Please Provide UNII-4 to GT-AXE16000 router. For a stable wireless backhaul in 5G-2, it needs to be 160Mhz and NON-DFS channel. All my XT8, GT-AX11000 Pro are support UNII-4 and could do non-DFS wireless backhaul at 160Mhz. However, if I use GT-AXE16000 as my main node, it would be able to do it because GT-AXE16000 does not support UNII-4.

The "Guest network on AiMesh" setting for all nodes is only available for the first guest network.  Additional guest networks are on the router only.  Please make the option to repeat additional guest networks to all AiMesh nodes.  I have a guest network, and I also want to setup a second isolated guest network for 2.4 GHz IoT devices.  However, when I do that, only the router has the SSID for my IoT guest network, and there is no option to have it broadcast from all nodes.

Please enable 5G-2 UNII-4 Channels for AXE16000 in the United States. From the Asus USA website, it clearly states the 5G has 3 160Mhz channels, which the last channel should be UNII-4.2024-04-28_20-37-14.jpg
