Recently when gaming have get random lag. I did a bufferbloat test and it should I kept getting latency spikes from 200 to 300. I had my internet company come out and test but they could not find a problem. The bufferbloat test only showed the random latency everything else came out great. I installed Merlin on the router to help. Set up cake on Merlin but the results aren't better. I have also set my upload to 50 and download to 350. Even tho I get 1gig internet. I am wired from router to my modem. I have looked across multiple forums and have searched for anything to do but nothing has worked so far. I'm all out of ideas. Please help. I'm not incredibly tech savvy and I'm at my wits end.

Gt-ax11000-pro is the model, I have cable Internet by sparklight. The firmware installed is 3004.388.8_4. The internet company gave me their modem hoping it would fix the problem. It is similar to a hitron coda56. I did have Motorola mb8600 docsis 3.1 cable mode. I am having the same issue on both modems.

If you have a computer with an Ethernet port connect it directly to the modem. Run a speed test and compare. If it is about the same speed (close) then it's likely not the router...

We have another thread here where the poster was using Ping Plot to show the problems he was having. I have never run that software, but he was seeing about the same as you seem to be.
But first I would like to ask, is there anything in common with these high ping situations. Such things as timing, are they equally spaced, is it just when playing a specific game and does it happen when streaming video?
Anything in your environment, such as a microwave or wireless telephone?
If it is gamine, is your video card up to date and is not causing the lags?
There may be a possibility, if you know the exact time this happens, you could look at your log to see if anything stands out.
