I am having a bit of an issue with my asus router setup I was hoping someone could help me with.
I have the asus be92u (recent upgrade to ax6000) as my main router and an ax6000 as a node for my mesh.
When I was using the ax6000 I had a 900mbps connection, I could run a speed test on the router in the QOS section giving great results and averaging close to my full 900 speed, I could also replicate this on my PC though ethernet backhaul and a smaller node with 1gb ethernet port.
I recently got a 2.3gb connection which is why I decided to upgrade to the be92u and use the ax6000 as the node instead so my setup is 2.5gb capable.
I can no longer seem to run speed test directly on the router as I'm now only greeted with a picture saying I have a 10gb connection speed (I don't) and can't perform a test.
I can get speed results on my mobile phone around 2Gbps up and down over wifi fine. I thought I would just run it on the PC through the ethernet hoping to get around the same or better but ended up getting results of 700mbps down and it seemed capped at exactly 150mbps up.
I checked all PC settings, ensured my network adapter had 2.5gb full duplex enabled, router and PC both say 2.5gb ethernet connected, installed fresh drivers etc... kept getting same results.
I then turned off QOS in the router which seemed to help a little but im still getting very slow results, my connection seems capped at 1gb as im getting around 1gb down and 950ish up, barely half what I can get via wifi.
This doesn't seem right, I have a full 2.5gb connection, ethernet backhaul, CAT 6e ethernet cables minium (wan cable is cat 8).
Is there anything I've not tried? Could it be a router firmware issue? Problem in windows 11 maybe?
Im kind of stuck for ideas but I certainly shouldn't be struggling to get half my speed.

I finally solved it. I tried removing the ax6000 from the setup, used a different cable still same issue.
I thought I would check my MSI control motherboard app for any clues, then I realised the "AI LAN manager" for the motherboard was turned on. Turned that off and bam instant turbo speed 🤣
So this is to anyone that might be having the same issues, ensure that you don't have ethernet manager programs running in the background. I didn't know mine was even on must have been defaulted to on after an update.
At least it's not a router issue. I kindly thank you for taking your time out to respond and attempt to figure it out with me. I very much appreciate it.
Take care and I hope you have a great new year.

What are the firmware versions on the two routers? One of the more recent ones probably recommends a factory reset before configuration. Did you update the firmware on the BE92U, and factory reset?
Unfortunately the Speed Test function was removed on ASUSwrt 5.0, denoted by 3.0.0.6.102_xxxxx.

The firmware version on the be92u is 3.0.0.6.102_38980
The firmware for the ax6000 is 3.0.0.4.388_33965
Both routers have had full factory resets, be92u was done when I first set up the new connection i done this on the 23rd of this month, I had a few issues getting the connection to work at first so I actually reset more than once.
The Ax6000 was factory reset once when I changed it from the main router to a node as this is the only way to do it.
I will try to reset them both again once more to see if it makes any difference but I doubt it will do.

There're GT-AX6000, RT-AX88U, and TUF-AX6000. It took me a while to match the firmware with TUF-AX6000....
Is AiProtection on? That can slow down speed as well. Unfortunately my maximum available service here is 1 Gbps so I never see an issue with AiProtection but I have been reading more and more issues with higher speed such as your 2.3 Gbps...
