Hi folks, I have been using GT6 router and my K1 printer for almost one year now. Out of blue this week the printer is no longer connecting to the GT6 router. I had a firmware update on both devices but I can't pin which one is to "blame" for.
I have reset the printer, removed the network, added back again. But nothing seems to make it work. It won't connect on the main network (for some reason, the guest network it works).
From the router perspective I do see this entry:
Nov 15 14:34:36 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(685): eth6: Auth FC:EE:28:00:24:F1, status: Successful (0), rssi:0
And that is the printer mac address. So it seems that the router is accepting the connection?
From the printer view, it says "wrong password" however that printer software is absolute garbage and I'm sure it is something else.
I found users saying the error is due it connecting to the 5GHZ network. Is there a way to force a given mac address to connect to the 2.4GHz only network? I think that could be a first attempt to solve the issue.
Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

They have been upgrading the security on some routers, so you might check your printer and see what security it can use. If it is limited to WPA only, it may no longer work wirelessly. If it uses WPA2/WPA3, it should be OK.
I don't have your router, but letting it run of the Guest Network will probably be fine.
If you have your system set to use multiple SSIDs for the four radios, you can just sign it into that network for the 5 GHz. If you are using a version of Smart connect, then it should pick its best connection.
