GT-BE98 - WIFI 7 Issue

Anyone else had any issues with the latest firmware 3.0.0.6.102_34372 regarding wifi 7 / MLO?

I have multiple LIFX productions (smart lights) and have notice an issue with the lightstrip and the only way I can get it to work is to turn off wifi 7 / MLO.

Everything worked perfectly on the previous firmware of 3.0.0.6.102_33570.

I've raised a ticket, though figured I'd ask here incase anyone else is experiencing something similar.

It should have asked you to create a Legacy (Guest Network) because WiFi 7 requires AES + GCMP256 which appears compatible only with WiFi 7 devices?

Yup so it created a guest network, let’s call it ABC_IoT, though to be honest I didn’t know too much about it so disabled it. 

If I connected the device I’m having an issue with to that SSID, wouldn’t I be unable to control it as I’m on the other wifi nextwork called ABC?

This one is not supposed to use "VLAN".  If you create one in Guest Network Pro it enforces VLAN and that's when your concern arises.

EDIT-  It should allow you to set the SSID to ABC.

Mate legend! I just renamed the ABC_IoT to ABC, turned wifi 7 / MLO back on and it works. 

When I view the clients connected to the guest network (which is 2.4 & 5ghz) I can see 13 clients connected and one of them is the light that was causing me grief!

It appears those lights are WPA/WPA2 only, so they won't work on the WPA3 only network which is the Primary SSID.

As mentioned, when you set up the router it should create the IoT network which is where all of my cameras and other non-WPA3 devices reside.  You may even want to reset the router and start over.  If you do start over, the setup will just ask for a primary SSID and a password.  

In addition, I have an older printer which is WPA only.  When I try to link that to the IoT network, it kicks my WPA2 home security system off the IoT network.
