It’s strange there is no information about the firmware updates when you find there is one to update. Kind of weird because you maybe ok with the old firmware. Then you start having problems because not all their routers work together smoothly, hiccups!
security updates are good, performance is good. Everyone has a different setup.
All in all give us a little information about the firmware help's.

I wish I could give more info. It's (currently) only available via the ASUSwrt updater or ASUS Router app, so that's all I could give. (Sorry, sincerely).

Looks like the Guest Network Pro section is gone.
The description is not yet up. You can check by clicking on the update version in the GUI.

Thank you for sharing that. I have to bring a ladder downstairs to (climb up to) reach the BQ16 Pro, so I'm trying to strategize a method of hard resetting it without having to do that in the dark. (Still dark here on the west coast).
The BQ16 Pro is almost due for it's pretty consistent (monthly) update so I definitely don't want to have to be climbing up a ladder frequently. Supposedly the BQ16 Pro is supposed to have AFC (forgot the acronym so will have to correct this) which supposedly involves a barometric sensor). Well it's sitting about 12 ft up on a window sill, but I can't remember if those types of sensor are sensitive enough to "sense" that...

You can't use the ASUS_XX number to access that router. In Windows, I just create that network and use it to reach certain routers. I don't know if that works with the Phone App.

The iPhone app didn’t have any information about the updates on it but the GUI did cool.
Thanks

Been the worse firmware update for me ever on A Asus router, every time I try to reboot the system two GT-Be98 pros in mesh and it makes the main router lose internet connection. So last time I had to set main router to factory default, the reset mesh router. I am hoping Asus is working on a fix for problems.

I wonder if there's a difference between how it performs based on Version 1 and Version 2...

@Merkster I also have two 98 Pros and not seeing disconnections. It may be related to some problem with your ISP.
Are you using any other Mesh routers?
We now know, the second BE98 Pro will not support MLO unless you are using wired backhaul.
Otherwise, the instructions mention resetting the routers after a firmware update. I was seeing some minor problems, so I reset both of mine and it has been stable. I have 2 Version 1 units.
