There are reports on Merlin's forum that Adaptive QOS doesn't work and appears to have been confirmed. Why is it that Asus's flagship router shipped with broken feature and that the issue still has not been addressed to this day. I need someone from Asus to respond to this, so that I can avoid calling the service desk.

I am not an ASUS employee, but I would be interested in testing if you could describe the type of QoS restrictions you are trying to set up.
If you had something related to video streaming, that would be a good place for me, to start.
When you check for the result you expect, what do you use to see the results.
If we can discuss this a little, others may have an input.

"Adaptive QoS
In adaptive type, custom priority levels can be set according to specific application types, allowing both wired and wireless devices to prioritize the upload and download bandwidth of high-priority applications. The types of applications include: games, media streaming, VoIP, web surfing, Work-From-Home, etc.
Example: If you want to ensure that your gaming bandwidth is protected, you can select 'Games' mode to ensure that the bandwidth will not be fully occupied by a single or other application and cause delays."

I'm not an ESL as I was born in the continental US, but you have to really read carefully how it works, to reserve bandwidth...
Moderators tend to be more active on Zentalk because less user answers are offered there...

I think that it might be easier to post the link to Merlin's forum. Users are reporting that Adaptive QOS doesn't work for the GT-98 Pro. Merlin one of the developers who develops firmware indicated this: "That's what I said - Adaptive QoS is broken. The tc filters and queues are not generated, at least in the code I have access to, which is a few months old now. Without queues and filters, the values you enter on the webui don't have any effect on traffic (and actually no traffic classification occurs either)."
I can confirm that it does not work as expected like other ASUS routers that I have owned in the past.. Bandwidth is not reserved for applications.

The forum entry seems to say, "on Wi-Fi 7 devices". Have you tried disabling Wi-Fi 7 to see if it makes a difference?
I can see how it might complicate the situation if using MLO, but if your system is set to use just one radio at a time, and no smart connect, maybe QoS could work.
I asked how you were checking the QoS separation. The reason I asked is so I would know if you had enabled the App in Traffic Analyzer.
Would QoS even activate if your current network speeds are high enough, so it is not needed.

I will do additional testing, but Adaptive QOS doesn’t appear to be working for me on this router. It peformes as expected on multiple older ASUS router.
Sunday
I don't know much about using QoS, but I did set bandwidth limiting to its lowest value. The lower number were shown during the time QoS was enabled. So, it did have some affect.
I also tried setting bandwidth limiting to a specific device, which is normally anywhere from 10 Mbps up to 70 Mbps during streaming. During this test, I did not see any difference with the upload set to 20 Mbps and download set to 10 Mbps.

Adaptive qos does not work on all WiFi routers 7

I understand that it doesn't work. The reason why I posted a message here is to inquire as to when Asus is going to fix it. I guess that I'll call suppprt directly since no progress is being made here. This problem is really easy to reproduce, so Asus should have fixed it by now. Very poor customer experience for a flagship router and very poor QA overall releasing a product with core features.not working at all.
