I just bought and installed GT-BE98 today (with the last firmware version: 3.0.0.6.102_34372-gb0fcfc4_620-gaf023_BA08), but I am unpleasantly surprised, even disappointed. Something strange happens after rebooting the router....
I see the SSID name_5G-1, but I can NOT see the name_5G-2 network (or it appears very late) and I can't see the name_6G network at all (after some reboot it starts working!).
What is going on? What is the issue? Again, underdeveloped software!
Help plizz!
I omit the fact that when I connected the WAN to the 2.5G port instead of 10G, and despite the fact that in the settings was “auto”, the router could not detect the Internet on this port. Only manually setting to the 2.5G port as WAN started the internet.

Did you set up MLO? For 6 GHz I suggest you enable Preferred Scanning Channels (PSC) if not enabled.
I'm assuming you have just this one ASUS router and no other? (Because if you do have another the BE98 may hide 5-2 as SSID_dwb).

Hello @jzchen ,
I'm not using MLO - this option is disabled.
This is only one my BE98 working in my home.

If it were my router I would now hard reset it to default settings and set it up again. Sometimes updating to the latest firmware may cause strange bugs and a hard reset fixes them...

This version of firmware is uploaded originally, I checked the update and there was no newer version, so it is already fabricated with the latest version.
Asus sells a new router with untested firmware?!?!?? After setting some basic parameters I have to do a hard-reset again?!?!?!
This is not a solution to the problem 😞

You may want to go to the Wireless page and verify all four radios are checked, near the top center of the page.
Also, just below the check boxes is the network name, make sure that (for smart connect) or those 4 are correct.
There is also a way to reset the router on the Admin, Restore/Save/Upload page.
If some setting is not maintaining its setting during a reboot, there may be some type of conflict.

all chechboxes for radio has been un-checked and checked again. The problem systematically occurs after a reboot 😞

Could this possibly be DFS channels for 5 GHz? There's a delay on broadcasting as the router has to verify they aren't being used. Also for 6 GHz try enabling Preferred Scanning Channels (PSC). (If you haven't tried enabling PSC yet).

I don't see DFS and nor don't PSC in the settings 😞 I checked wireless/general and wireless/professional

As mentioned by jzchen, the DFS channels on 5GHz_2 require 10 mins or so to check that there is nothing radar-related nearby using that channel, you can check it's progress in the Wireless logs (it doesn't auto refresh).
Preferred Scanning Channel should be a checkbox under the 6GHz radio settings.
