GT-BE98 - hidden SSID?!

Wi-Fi software analyzer (checked on the 2 soft) I see hidden SSID - probably it seems that my router GT-BE98 creating this Wi-Fi network. I'm guessing it's my network by signal strength (dB).

This hidden Wi-Fi network is not creating by me (not configured on the router), there is no guest network, nor any other SSID configured in my settings.

What is it? Any hidden network created automatiacally by router for Mesh purpose? How to disable that?

Hmmm so it seems it is a Windows "future" not related to Asus' router. So I will close this topic.

But the question in my mind is still for what?

An SSID with "_dwb" is created if you have an AiMesh node.   If you have a single router then it shouldn't.

Did you read my post carefully? I'm writing about a hidden network, not a network with a prefix "_dbw"(!)

PS. I have 1 (one) router without active option AIMesh.

I have had a "Hidden Network" on every computer I have had.  It is always the last one listed in available networks.

The signal strength does vary but it is secure.

Hidden network on every computer?!?!

If this is the one you are asking about.  In the attachment, none of the blacked out SSIDs are mine, but neighbors.  You can see the Hidden Network has a strong signal, so it is in my house.

I do not know what it is for, but I assume it is for some control function of the Wireless.  I have Intel wireless in case it might be relevant.

Do you have Intel AX210 network card?

I checked on the same computer but with linux Ubuntu and in Ubuntu hidden network is NOT created.

I guess it is a Windows "futer" or some functionality in Intel drvier for killer?

What model of Wi-Fi card do you have? Do you using Wi-Fi 7 standard?

I have the Intel BE200 Wi-Fi card.  But the network I showed, has been on my systems for as long as I can remember.

My phone doesn't seem to see it.

I do have MLO enabled.
