GT-AXE16000 UNII-4 Question ( wireless backhual XT8s)

I am wondering if Asus would enable UNII-4 to AXE16000 Router in future? ( U.S.  region)

Here is my current setup AXE16000 + 2 XT8s ( wireless backhaul). Without the UNII-4 Supoort, the maximum PHY speed I could get is around 1100 Mbps ( 80Mhz, because all channels under 160Mhz are DFS). However, I used to have AX11000Pro, and when I paired AX11000Pro with XT8s the maximum wireless backhal could reach 1800Mbps ( 160Mhz and UNII-4 non-DFS channels).

Thus, I feel like I have a downgraded setup by upgrading my main roter from AX11000Pro to AXE16000 unless AXE16000 would enable UNII-4.

I just checked my 5 GHz-2 settings and you are correct UNII-4 does not seem enabled on the GT-AXE16000, while UNII-4 does show up on the router features pages, (3 available 160 MHz 5 GHz channels)...

where did you see the feature page? I can't find it. 5G-1, 5G-2 and 6G do have 160Mhz but UNII-4 is extra extension for 5G-2.

I took a screenshot on my phone.  Note it shows 3 available 160 MHz right towards the middle of the image (in blue text).

i see, but this does not say it would have UNII-4 support. I am actually disappointed when I notice this model doesn't have UNII-4, and old XT-8 got the update. 

They shouldn't show the 3 if it's not supported by the router, or at least in my opinion.  Have you confirmed with ASUS support that the hardware is not able to support the third 160 MHz channel, which would include UNII-4?

no, I personally didn't reach out to Asus because I just got the Router yesterday (used). I had AX11000Pro wireless backhaul with my 2 XT8s with UNII-4 channel @ 160Mhz, and my PHY connection was constantly 1600-1700Mbps. After I got the AXE16000, I realized this one did not have UNII-4 support, and for 80Mhz wireless backhaul I could only get maximum 1040Mbps. 

Does 3 avaliable 160Mhz channels means it includes UNII-4 ( should UNII-4 be the 4th group)? I actually first time read this. 

When I overlay the image, it looks like you are correct that the 3rd channel does enter the UNII-4 zone.
