I recently purchased a (second) GT-AX11000 Pro router since my first router was the same model and had this same issue. I'm lost on what is causing this issue. I have pingplotter and the packet loss is huge and random. I'm hard wired (cat6e all new cables) from my PC to modem and the router. I'm not using wifi for gaming. I confirmed that the router is causing the issue by connecting directly to modem from PC and everything is perfect and no packet loss ever and gameplay is awesome. Speedtest always show from 1gb - 1.2gb down and 115 up on a 1gb service.
I have no clue what setting is wrong. I sent in the form from the router and received a reply a week or so later saying to troubleshoot my wifi. OMG! I clearly said that I do not use wifi for gaming and I am hard wired on this PC that is having the issues going through the router. I do not believe that either router is actually bad, but has a setting somewhere that is not correct. Does anyone have an idea what is going on and what setting that may be wrong? Thank you for any help on this that is driving me crazy.

You are using Symmetric 1 Gbps internet service? Is it Spectrum?
You are using a modem and not a Gateway?
Have you tried turning off the Wi-Fi radios while you are testing?
Can you stream video or several videos at the same time without problems?
Do you only have the one computer you can check?
Why did you install Ping Plotter initially, what were you seeing? I do not have any experience with a QoS situation during game play. If you are not using it, you might want to test by giving your game priority.
Do you have any thoughts on whether the problem might involve video or audio?

Thank you for your response to help solve my issue. I will answer these all in one response for now.
Default settings usually work best. Did you happen to change any? QoS is by default off and Traffic Monitor is usually off by default also...
I did not remember changing anything out of the norm, but just checked and saw that QoS was ON and I turned it off just to see if that helps. I did not see were you can turn Traffic Monitor OFF anywhere.

Using a modem connected directly for the troubleshooting and I have NO packet loss or latency issues.

Have not tried that yet.

No, if streaming with router connected, it will start buffering, which should not happen with 1gb down service.

No, I confirmed the issue is not just my PC. I connected two other laptops with the same issue going through the router.

Pingplotter is a tool to track down/troubleshoot your network and beyond. It clearly shows that my router is causing issues with latency and packet loss. My service provider is COX and IMO they suck. I have had 10 techs in the last 35 days here checking their system. They did find an issue with the cable and ran a complete new cable from across the street at their tap all the way to my house. No real change. I also installed my self a new coax cable which is RG11 cable vs the RG6 which is typical for house. RG11 is much thicker low loss cable, again with no real change.

I do not think the issue involves either of those since it is router centered, proved by disconnecting the router and going directly through my modem. Pingplotter shows that everything is very clean with just the modem. At first I thought the router was bad, but after buying another one which is the same model and doing the same thing, it MUST be a setting that is not intuitive that is set wrong and affecting the latency. Unfortunately, I can not figure this out and Asus was NO help. So, I've spend at least $700-$750 on Asus routers and Asus doesn't seem to care about the customer and tells me to trouble shoot my WiFi, which I can't believe that is the issue at all being hard wired PC, not WiFi. Maybe it's just me?
I hope this helps anyone who knows this router and can help since it is driving me crazy. Online game play is frustrating at best when it freezes up and or kicks me entirely out of the game.

Also, the RG11 coax cable I ran is from the COX box on the house all the way to my modem. There is NO splitter in that line, just to be clear.

I asked about a modem or gateway in case your ISP was having problems with other than OEM devices involved. Could there be something you could enter in the Requirements from ISP section on the router.
Is your WAN address the same using the computer or Router?
There was a thread a couple of weeks ago that mentioned Ping Plotter due to high ping numbers. If that wasn't your Thead, you might check it.

Thanks, I would have to do a little more research on that from COX. Address is the same and that was not me on another thread on this subject. Do you have a link by chance?

It doesn't mean you are having the same problem, but maybe some situation would be disclosed.
