This is a long shot but is it possible to send a notification to our phone app or even just a IFTTT notification whenever an new or unknown MAC address connects to my wifi?
I wonder if you could do this, use push notifications in windows that way you could also configure what it tells you about and it would give a way broadcast it to the right user. +1 for inital idea OP.
