Hi guys, i am generally bad at networking stuff so i would like to seek the expert’s advice since google search comes back with nothing.
i have a new apartment and i would like to set up the Aimesh with the above products. i have been getting the message that the node cannot be connected to the router.
My router is the GT-BE25000 and i would like to connect two AX-6600 to form a mesh system. i have kinda like a smart home and i would just like to ensure my house is fully convered without dead spots. its excessive like this but i live in an apartment with many solid walls blocking the router from where it is and there isn’t more central area.
I would like to ask if it is possible to do an AiMesh this way? I read after failing for 2.5 hours that I can only switch on one node at a time, I have yet to try to that but at one point I am sure there was only one node on and it didn't connect either.
Can anyone please advise me?
Regards,
C

Since I don't have those units, I cannot say for sure but there are several other threads regarding the XT8. You might search for those and just search for XT8 and several threads will come up.
They do come as a pair and the description shows as Primary AiMesh Router and AiMesh Node. Have you tried just setting them up in this manner, for testing purposes?

Thank you for replying!
I noticed there's a main set and one as a node. and I read online when it comes in pair it normally comes preset. I will try as you suggest when I have time to visit my new apartment.
also, I have read that I should be using the web version of the ASUS app. there are more settings to be toggled. Will I be able to change how these nodes behave in the settings when I get there? if I get which settings is it under?
in the iPhone app version there's very limited things that I can do.

Would you be doing the mesh wireless or wired?
I guess do one node at a time.
