Can the ASUS AX11000 and AX11000 Pro (Wi-Fi 6, not 6E) use the second 5 GHz band for wireless backha

I'm currently using two ASUS AX11000 routers to create a mesh network, with one router in the garage and the other on the first floor. However, the signal on the second floor is weak. I'm considering buying another router to improve this, and I'm looking at the AX11000 Pro, which is currently $100 cheaper than the AX11000. Before I make a purchase, I want to know if I can use the second 5 GHz band of the AX11000 Pro for wireless backhaul when paired in a mesh with the AX11000. Thank you for your experience and time.

I do not have either of those model routers, but articles from ASUS clearly state that the higher bands by default will be used for wireless backhaul (so long as Smart Connect is enabled across all three, which I wasn't aware):
