I just purchased an Asus RT-AC5300 router that's currently running Asus' most recent firmware version. I've not had any issues so far, but my question is this, would the router be more stable in the long run if I flash the firmware to the Merlin version? I'm not a power network user and probably won't use all the extra power user goodies and tools, but would the bug fixes alone make it worth installing this firmware update?
Also, is it better to have the Wifi in Smart Connect mode, or instead set things up with all the radios on separate SSID's?
