AX11000 problems

JeffLo
Level 10
ax11000 been trouble shooting this since last year
the common prob like wifi drop outs and other stuff, but whats wierd is its like a memory leak, after like 2 weeks or more all wifi wont have internet, its connected but zero data will pass thru its like the router is blocking all traffic up and down, but the lan side is fine (sometimes wifi and lan), i swap diff router all is good diff model brand and a cheap one too so its not my isp

the only way i can fix this is by factory reset, reboot and on/off doesnt fix this, is like a memory leak on pc but you need to reset factory defaults to fix it, so i looking for something to replace this ax11000, but if the hardware is the same with the axe11000 just the wifi6E so im afraid its going to have the same problems im having

but i do hope my prob is a isolated case, but some other commong prob ive read on the net with the ax11000 im also getting currently on the beta firmware but still the probs are thier

these are the common errors i see in the system log it flooded with this types of entries

This is the MAC address you are looking for. It does not show up in your network map Clients? Make sure and check both wired and wireless.. It looks like it authorizes this device and deauthorizes it 2 seconds later. If you can't find and these entries happen fairly often, you could start turning off devices until you saw them stop..

The smiley faces really make it hard to find some numbers.

What is a Wi-Fi led bulb? 😉 Like a quest mark or info type annotation? Are you referring to a physical device like some type of light? I think I would concentrate on the eth7 for now. The Led Bulb may have some special requirements.. Is there a model number for that device so I can look it up?

but my real main problem is , that i need to do a factory default reset on the ax11000 every like 2weeks for it to run properly

if its a fresh factory default reset it runs smooth 100%, as days go by you will notice it slowly degrading in performance, it gets buggy, like droping wifi, and on lan pc you start to notice pages wont load fast its like its lagging, you get frequent err-timeouts, dns probe, dns error problems, you need to refresh for it to load or keep clicking a link a site, this happen sometimes on 1 pc or phones or all its random

and its gets worst and worst till around 2weeks to 16days it will stop responding, you cant click on anything anymore, pages wont load on the pc, or tablet or phone, it doens say no internet access on pc and mobile phones and tablet, it just it wont load the pages like its has crash or something, but games still run

reboot or turning the router on/off doesnt help, even if i set the router to reboot everyday

its like a memory leak on pc that as you use it its gets slower and slower, but this on the router a simple restart on/off doesnt solve it
it needs to be hard reset , back to factory defaults and set everything up again like my pppoe connection info to my fiber and the wifi name and password
then i need to connect my smart device again 1 by 1 its such a hassle, i dont have this issue on my old router even on a cheap tenda ac2100 router that cost like $25
this asus ax11000 cost me $550 and its giving lots of headache, its range is very good but the random bugs and problems

If the lights were to be involved, do you use voice control with them? I assume a smart phone is involved with controlling them..?

You seem to be avoiding the question as to what eth7 is.. 😉 And the system seeing the lights as AIMesh units looks strange.

If you are running a system that is having constant errors, it is understandable that, over time, it might become unresponsive due to corruption of it database. A bad actor might cause such a thing, and possibly eth7 is that bad actor.

The one thing I can tell you is I have had no problems with the AX11000. The model prior to that also worked fine as will, hopefully, the AEX11000 which should arrive this week.

I certainly cannot say there is not a problems with your unit, but many other situations could also be involved. Simplifying your system may be the only way to check.

yeah i think my unit has a prob, light is controlled using phone app

anyway asus distro here is gonna send me a demo unit same model to compare and see if it does the same thing

eth7 is the 5Ghz_1 i think base on this becasue only 5Ghz_1 has a 160 chanel and this is the suspected channel that im thinking has a problem

it was also 5Ghz_1 channel that causing interference with my speaker that uses 2.4ghz to communicate with the main speaker and slave speaker
