Hi,
Recently I was having trouble maintaining a stable connection to the internet from my laptop and after some troubleshooting, I discovered that my end point protection software (Symantec) was suspending the network for 60seconds at a time trying to protect the PC against a port scan/dos attack that seems to be originating from my router (192.168.1.1).
The router is an Asus RT-AX88U.
Is there any normal functionality of the router that would result in such a behavior? If so, where can I turn it off?
If not, can I assume my router has been compromised? How can I get it fixed?
Thanks a lot for the support.
Regards,
