Hello, I've been using the ROG Rapture GT6 Mesh system for a while now and the settings I made are not saving. I am using the latest fw version on the site on both products. I couldn't find a beta version, and it doesn't support the Merlin system.
To better explain the problem of setting not registering:
Does anyone else have this problem or know the solution?

You need to get your primary router configured prior to adding the Mesh unit.
Once you have the mesh network configured, all changes to the primary router should propagate to the Mesh node.
I do not have those routers, so I cannot test.

Which is main router?

The one that is not being used as a AiMesh unit is the primary Router.
If your ISP gives you a Gateway which does Wi-Fi, have you bypassed that?

ASUS has a single firmware update listed on their US site: 3.0.0.4.388_24580 . I'm afraid since they insist on customers using only that then any issues you're having should be directed to them to fix in a future update.

If what you are doing is changing the control channel for the upper 5 GHz radio, the 108 channel, may not be available so the router is correcting the error.
I am currently looking at a spectrum chart for an AXE16000 and it does not show any signals in the 108 area. Try changing it to something in the 153 to 165 area and see if it sticks.
This, of course, may depend on where you are located. But as far as I know, the GT6 is compatible with the US standards?

I suppose one other thing you might try is to look at the Administration section and Restore/Save/UploadSettings, or whatever your system has and see if using the Restore option might help. Possibly, something has gotten corrupted and maybe just a reset, factory or otherwise, is not dealing with it.

I looked up channel 108 and it is a DFS channel. As @Saltgrass notes this may not be available due to sharing with military/aviation. Did you enable DFS channels? A recent article for you:
