I am considering this router. It hit the shelfs in 2022. How long does ASUS support this router in terms of firmware updates?

The latest BIOS is dated December 2023, which feels neglected until I just checked the TP-Link Archer AXE300 (a very comparable competitor) who's latest is June 2023...

I have a (very) old RT-AC68U I think I got back in 2016, which I still use (AiMesh node) because it has gotten a pretty recent BIOS update.  It really depends on popularity I guess...

I'm afraid I do not know of any roadmap per say.  They have an EOL list which they technically no longer support, but as I experienced they still warranty.  The EOL list is here for your reference:

There are two AX router models listed, but other than that they seem like a very old bunch...

To my understanding if there is a security/serious issue even my RT-AC68U would get an update, even though certain HW version is out of date.

Sometimes updates seem slow to come (I have this model from 2022), but sometimes they are also pushed transparently meaning you don't even know it has happened...
