I am kind of waiting for a firmware 3.0.0.6.102_xxxxx update on the AXE-16000 for a while. In fact since I saw the beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102.4856

Wondering if it worth it to try the beta firmware in the mean. Anyone tried it ? And would like to share their experience ?

I have a GT-AXE16000 AiMesh node to a GT-BE98 Pro in Access Point mode.  The problem in this configuration is that the 6 GHz channel of the AXE16000 is stuck as SSID_dwb meaning it is a backhaul dedicated channel.  So I did dare retry the "early beta" you reference in the hope that I could somehow make the 6 GHz available to clients.  It did not, it was still stuck even with Ethernet Backhaul Mode ON.

Unfortunately that beta causes severe Ethernet connection instability, and I couldn't live with it so unstable.

All I might say is the Beta version is a year old and has been succeeded by two newer versions.  Personally, I don't think I would want to do that unless possibly for testing purposes.

I did not experience any instability. In fact it was rock solid. NO MEMEMORY leak at all, unlike every released firmware to date including the Merlin firmware. Running now and I have no problems. 42 connections, guest network VLAN everything rock solid

I really whish that version 3.0.0.6.102_xxxxx would be available to AXE-16000 as it is a great router. It would seems that ASUS forgot about it. ANyone know a way to remind ASUS about this ?

I've been trying to volunteer to help develop the BIOS but I think the code is probably too complex for my abilities.

It appears BIOS development across the ASUS router segment has...  I just don't know.
