ASUS GT-AC5300 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48377
1. Fixed OpenSSL CVE-2022-0778
2. Added more security measures to block malware.
3. Fixed Stored XSS vulnerability. Thanks to Milan Kyselica of IstroSec.
4. Fixed CVE-2022-23970, CVE-2022-23971, CVE-2022-23972, CVE-2022-23973, CVE-2022-CVE-2022-25595, CVE-2022-25596

We suggest manually resetting the router after upgrading from 3.0.0.4.384 or earlier version to this version.

Thanks for the update info.

1) "Instant Guard" still does not work. I updated the certificate and restored the factory settings.
2) After several hours, disconnects the connection with the dropbox.

As I had the software Version 3.0.0.4.386.42643 everything worked

Let us know your network setup?
Is your router connected to a Gateway or a Modem?

Hi.
- Router connected to the modem (wired network)
- a disk connected to the router
- I use AiCloud 2.0 and Cloud Disk

What's the modem model and make?

Let me remind you that everything worked: Version 3.0.0.4.386.42643

I know you said that it worked before, however, there could be other things lurking in the background waiting to show their true selves. That being said, your Fiber modem has two functionalities:

  • It can act as a router with NAT
  • It can act as a Bridge with no NAT

Can you find out what mode your modem is in (router mode or bridge mode)? Do this by logging into the modem's web interface. BTW, your modem is basically a gateway device.

The router is in NAT mode

Do you have any idea to solve the problem
I would like to add that the speed test built into the router does not work either.
Speed Test works via a web browser.

Different issue, same firmware.
I am getting disconnected every 15-20 minutes. The connection simply goes away then a couple minutes later the WAN light goes red, then white and connectivity resumes.
My home has extremely high data volumes (40+Gb /day), mostly Twitch inbound and youtube. There's also a lot of Teams time on weekdays. Add a lot of IOT gadgets, phones, a couple of TV's, consoles. Usually 25+,sometimes 35-36 devices. Will b more when family visits. Doing DMZ, forwarding, QOS.
ISP equipment is Arris gateway, not bridged, 1Gb service. It indicates service uptime 45 days. Router has static IP reserved on gateway
The March 17 update ending 46092 had a similar problem, but much worse so I had rolled back to 42643 until 48377 came out.
Worked rock solid reliable on 42643. Can't roll back because of the security issue (can't recall name)
Please help

any updates for gt-ac5300? tried latest version but having frequent lan and wifi disconnections. im on beta version right now 9.0.X.X.X but still having some wifi and lan disconnections but better than the latest version one.

tried again the latest firmware and now using the router gt-ac5300 as my personal router not my main router. for almost 5days without having problem. i feel bad for this router, because it cannot handle as may main router. im using may less 50dollar router as my main router right now without having trouble with disconnection on my other routers on lan and wifi. really ASUS!

Same problem here. Since I upgraded to 3.0.0.4.386.48377 the 2.4GHz radio on my GT-AC5300 drops out every 1 - 2 days. I am forced to reboot every day. Please release new firmware that fixes this.
