Asus GT-AXE-16000 Traffic analizer doesn’t works – error 😞

Hello, I have the Asus GT-AXE-16000 with firmware version - 3.0.0.4.388.23012. I observed 3rd time that the traffic analizer doesn’t works. It shows not connected devices – it’s not thrue, because few of the devices are still connected over Lan and WiFi.

After restart of the router the traffic analizer shows some statistics, but many often it doesn’t works 😞

The router for over 600€ and still the problems with tchem 😞 It’s teribble ☹

If it isn't working, it might help.  Since it allows showing monthly data, it should run at least that long.

Since I don't know where it keeps that data, have you checked your memory usage on Network map and the Status tab on the right.  Mine is currently showing 737 MB used and has not changed for the last 3 days.  If it isn't being stored on its own memory, where else, the cloud?  My AiCloud is currently turned off.

Could it be stored with or in the system log, which you are currently checking?  You are supposed to be able to save the system log, so you should have access to that file.

How much system memory do you have?  Check the Task Manager-Performance-Memory section.

I found this site.  Be aware this is not a site I spend much time on so be careful.

Asus router Traffic Analyzer - Statistic empty? :: SG FAQ (speedguide.net)

It seems there is a small, 2KB or so, partition in the router non-volatile memory.  The info stored does not take up much space, but it may have been corrupted.  Using the trash can may clear that area and let you start over.

The link I provided above seems to show someone was able to use QoS settings to help.  I do not have QoS enabled so not sure exactly how it would be involved, except it is supposed to have some control over your bandwidth and thus the traffic monitor.

My system is currently keeping track but only has 4 days accumulated.

Mine has been running for 11 days now and I see no problems.  If you want, I can use the trash can to see if it clears the data.

I turned off the traffic analyzer and the data remains.  I turned it back on and the data stays.

After getting the same error as @ra_dzik reports, I tried your advice and tried the trash icon, confirmed the delete, and waited until now, when I just remembered to check.  Still getting exactly the same posted concern.

It's good to hear that - not for the fact that something doesn't work for you either, but because still other users confirm the problem.

I tried the ON OFF toggle switch at the top and it doesn’t get it to work again.  Maybe restarting the system is the only way to get it to work as you note.  I will send Feedback through the Advanced Settings -> Administration -> Feedback (tab).  If I do not get a response that acknowledges the problem I will forward to the moderator here to maybe nudge someone who understands the issue…

I started the Feedback session and selected the minimum 12 hour log.  Unfortunately everything crashed after I tried the toggle switch then attempted to click the trash can.  At first I could connected to WAN websites but not the main router login page.  Eventually I could get nowhere.  I ran Windows Network Diagnostics and after running it suggested I unplug my modem for at least 10 seconds, which I did for 25 seconds, and plug it back in.  Afterwards everything reconnected and Traffic Analyzer is working again.  System uptime currently shows only 12 minutes so the router may have restarted itself or reset when it sensed WAN disconnect and restarted counting when it reconnected...

I may be wrong, but I could swear that yesterday, the monthly log went from the 13th to the 28th, or 15 days.  Today it is going from the 14th to the 29, 15 days.

It still seems to be working, so maybe something will happen today or tomorrow.

Oh.  Thank you for that update.  I didn’t check the Statistic until my Uptime said 16 days (a lot has been going on lately).  If you can please try the Feedback tab/function, you can select up to 3 days.

I have asked the moderator to forward the concern to the appropriate channel, but I guess it will take 16 days or so for them to possibly replicate the issue…
