I flashed the GT-AX6000 to the latest firmware with the router app, when this was done the Aura RGB light was turned ON, i turned it back OFF but when i reboot the router the Aura light is back ON.
No factory reset done.

I'm having the same issue as well. I never had this issue before the recent firmware update.

The GPL merged into Merlin is higher, and I suggest installing Merlin:

I just set my system back up for testing. So far, I realize the LED button controls all the lights on the router. It will turn on or off all the white radio lights and the RGB.
The option on the Dashboard page does turn off just the RGB. I am currently using the 34860-firmware version and if I am seeing the situation correctly, I will now update to the later version and check it.
Please let me know anything else you have noticed.

It appears what you are indicating is accurate. What I suggest is for you to use the LED button to turn off all lights on the router.

same problem

I have the same problem with 2 x GT-AXE1600 which are setup as Aimesh nodes.
I have to use the Asus app on my android phone, to turn off the RGB.
Weirdly this also has a bug where it does not display the RGB enable/disable switch.
So I have to choose the router, then turn off the LED slider. Then back out of the page and go back into it. Then enable LED again.
Again back out of the page and back in, this then shows the RGB slider directly under the LED slider.
I can only do this when I am in the same house connected to the network, as it does not show up at all when remotely accessing it.

I believe the new firmware has a bug, and I hope it can be fixed as soon as possible. Additionally, my 2.4G LED sometimes turns on even when it's off, after making some adjustments.
