I have the ASUS GT-AX11000 as my main router with 2x ZenWIFI XD5's in aiMesh mode to extend the signal in my house. Everything has been working perfectly for over a year and then in the past month I've noticed my WIFI keeps dropping. I noticed the ZenWIFI's keep disconnecting randomly (showing RED LED) and sometimes does not reconnect at all unless I reboot the main AX11000 router.
I have tried factory reset on main router and the ZenWIFI's yesterday and today it disconnected one of the ZenWIFI's again...
Firmware for all is showing up-to-date. I'm wondering if the last firmware update has something todo with this issue.
AX11000 firmware: 3.0.0.4.388_24328-g1e6e634
ZenWIFI firmware: 3.0.0.4.388_23949-g62861d5
Anyone have any solutions for this? I'm going to downgrade the firmware and hope that helps...

Yes I downgraded the XD5s first to 3.0.0.4.388_23347 then did the AX11000 to 3.0.0.4.388_23285 .

How did the firmware downgrade go? Did it solve your problem?

I did the downgrade yesterday evening so it hasn't been that long but so far so good. One thing I noticed is the Zen nodes are picking up a lot more devices now since the downgrade so the load is better on the main router. I'll update in the next day or so if any disconnects.

I'm glad it helped. Did you downgrade the XD5s also or just the GT-AX11000? I'm surprised that this popped up all of a sudden the latest firmware for both models are dated last year/a long time ago.
Since the firmware for the AX11000 says it fixed a stack overflow concern I'd probably consider setting up an automatic reboot schedule.
I hope ASUS starts releasing new BIOS for all their models soon.... Sigh....

Looks like the fw downgrade fixed my issue. Network has been solid and no disconnects at all.
