Asus DB4 BE3600 Outdoor, How to reset

Hey all, I have a Asus DB4 BE3600 outdoor router, I did an update last night which looks like it went through however it will no longer connect to my network. I connected via holding the reset button however whenever I attempt to re add to my ai mesh network it fails.

My other Asus routers I can use the WPS button to do a hard reset however there is none on this router.

Having a look on the manual it doesn't give much help at all.

Any ideas

Is Ethernet Backhaul Mode turned on?  If it is please turn it off until it is relocated and connected via ethernet...

BD4 sorry

Do you happen to have the ASUS_XX number for that device?

If you do, in Windows you may be able to create a new SSID with that number use that network to connect to the device.

You may need to turn off other routers to keep from confusing systems.

Afraid not, I've reset everything and same issue, I setting this up via wired and all I get is this every time and I have verified everything multi times.

EDIT- Are you trying to add it through any network switches?  I'm afraid you'll want to connect Ethernet from the main router straight to the BD4, and try again, or "within 3 meters" of the main router.

(I believe standard limit is 100 meters max or approximately 328 ft).

Nope not attached outdoors, I am only doing it very ethernet, I have tried should a switch ( which It was working fine before via a POE switch ) and I attached it to main router also via ethernet and same issue.

If connecting ethernet directly (without a switch?  Sorry it wasn't clear to me I've had very little sleep last night)... does not work then unfortunately you need to move them close to try to add via WiFi as a last resort.  I just checked and the BD4 has 2 Ethernet ports I don't suppose you tried them both)?  (I recall being forced to add a node via WiFi just once, maybe maximum twice, but no experience with this specific model I'm afraid).

The typical ASUS AiMesh instructions, after successfully adding via WiFi, relocate to desired location, connect Ethernet as preferred, then power up the (BD4 in your case) node.  If needed do disable Ethernet Backhaul mode prior to adding.  (I should have mentioned this in the beginning.  My apologies for not doing so).

Slight progress but still issues. I did what you said above and it adds its but just get a red light after boots up when connecting to WiFi, turned off and turned on connecting to Ethernet and same issue boots up showing red and showing disconnected in the app.
