See images of the spikes - this happens consistently on Xbox connected to node. When I run same test on pc with Ethernet direct to gt6 router I seee no issues

Also notified that the spikes seem to often happen at the exact same time in seconds .. at approx 17 seconds … odd.

After you finished the firmware update, did you reset the router?
It also may be good to reboot your ISP device, such as a modem.
If you know when these high pings occur, possibly you could check your router logs to see if anything shows at those times.

I’ve rebooted router and modem many times - no diff
did not do a full factory reset on router or nodes - should I ?

If you are running nodes, turn them off while working the problem. You may need to reacquire the nodes at some point, depending on what changes the Primary router goes through.
The full factory reset can repair some situations the easy reset does not.
As @jzchen mentions, you may be able to go back to a previous version of the firmware, but while you are here, try to do some troubleshooting. The log may show something relevant, if you decide to check it, we can discuss that.

Sorry what do you mean turn the nodes off ? I plug my Xbox into the node that then connects to the router (no Ethernet)

If you did a factory reset after installing 3.0.0.4.388_24656 then this should suffice. The instruction to do so is with that firmware version. If you had a prior firmware and jumped to the latest 3.0.0.4.388_24675 then it is advisable to factory reset (since all updates are inclusive of prior updates).

When I say node, I mean Mesh Node, if you have any.
