ROG THOR 850W PLANTINIUM II

The same thing happens to me, yesterday I started assembling the ROG THOR 850w Plantinium II power supply and when it came to connecting to my new ROG MAXIMUS Z970 HERO motherboard I ran into some problems.
1st - From the PSU I connect the two cables to power the CPU, these two cables at the other end, in each one there are only 2 4-pin connectors.
2nd - When trying to connect with the 2 8 PIN connectors on the MOTHERBOARD, only 1 CONNECTOR of the two fits in, since the other DOES NOT MATCH in the holes to insert it (FORCE if IT ENTER, which I think should not happen) , so I CANNOT connect the power to the two 8-pin and 12v connectors with the cables that will come with the PSU

How can that happen when it's ALL ASUS?

Hi @Miguel_V

It sounds like you may be trying to insert a PCIE 8-PIN into an ESP12V connector on the motherboard. Please ensure you are using the supplied ESP12v cables.
