I have a ROG Maximus Z790 Dark hero motherboard and a ROG Thor 1200P@-Gaming power supply.

I wish to plug into the dual procool II power connectors, but none of the cables with the power supply will fit. I can get the twin 4 connectors to fit but not the extra 2 that come with the power supply

I also have a ROG RYUJIN III 360 ARGB CPU cooler where should i plug that in for maximum performance.

I do NOT want or need any of the RGB colors.

Please help, i am at a standstill

Hi @callglobalbob,

Are you able to upload a photo of the cables you've received? The ESP12v cables for the CPU are often split to be cross-compatible with 4-pin connectors. Are you able to locate them?

Regarding the RYUJIN III, which connectors are you referring to? The 4-pin PWM for the pump should be connected to the AIO_Pump header on the motherboard.

I have attached a few photos which i hope will get my project up and running.

photo 1) ROG PS cable  has a PSU cable on one side and a split 4-2 cable on the other end. I can easily get the 4 pin into the "open MB connectors" spot, but not the 2-pins that are with the same cable.

what is to be plugged into the "open MB connectors"?

sorry, the cable end is not a 4-2, it is a 6-2.

I can easily get the 6 pin connector into the slot, put the attached 2-pin will not fit.

Is this the right connector of this slot? what does go into there?

Those are PCIE 6+2 Pin connectors for the GPU. Do not plug them into the ESP12v CPU headers, they do not fit as they're not meant to be used there and can potentially damage the motherboard.

Are you unable to locate the ESP12V cables depicted above?

ok, i will not try and fit those into those open slots.

yes i was able to find the ESP12V cable. where does that go?

(thank you for all of your help. I have stopped pulling my hair out)

Should both ends go into one Socket?

Do I need to have 2- ESP 12V

One set for each Socket?

I don't see 2 cables, one one
