I always disable auto brightness on all my phones. It is always annoying, especially when I want to use my screen as a mild flashlight to not trip on anything as I move around the bedroom when my girlfriend is sleeping.
Never had this problem until using RoG Phone 9 playing Pokemon Go on a sunny day. The brightness is changing as I walk in the sun and then into shadows. I want it to stay consistent, preferably the full full brightness of in the sun. On the quick settings pull down, that slider is all the way to the right.
The only setting I can find via search for auto brightness is the expected toggle standard on all android phones under the display subsection.
Because the brightness toggles in sunlight, I thought to search settings for "sun" but got no results.
How do I stop this? It is really bad when I play under trees and the phone is rapidly exposed to shade vs not and every 3 seconds it changes the brightness. (It is never real time, at least a 1 second, often 2-3 second delay to decide to change brightness.)
