Strix Scope II 96 Wireless Connecting via Bluetooth or Wireless 2.4

Yesterday I purchased the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless Snow Switch. I am an avid gamer but am about to be doing a lot of typing. The noise of my other keyboard was just too much.
I have the kb connected by USB and am having no luck either pairing it wirelessly or with bluetooth. It won't even allow me to update the firmware on the KB or the OMNI receiver. I follow the bouncing ball but it does not work. It tells me to connect my receiver and my usb cable and press ok, I have done this and it does nothing.
The second part of my problem is getting the keyboard to connect either wirelessly or via bluetooth. It apears in my bluetooth list. However when I flip the switch it disables the keyboard.

The Omni receiver is the exact same as my Gladius III Aimpoint, but I am unable to connect that either.

To help us troubleshoot the connection issue with your ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless keyboard more effectively, we would like to confirm the following:

1. Connection mode: Are you unable to pair either via 2.4G wireless or Bluetooth? In other words, regardless of using 2.4G wireless mode or Bluetooth mode, the keyboard cannot connect successfully to the computer, and the keyboard information cannot be seen in Armoury Crate? Can the keyboard only be used when connected via a cable?
2. Bluetooth mode operation: When you want to use Bluetooth mode, have you removed the 2.4G dongle and cable from the keyboard and computer? Ensure that there are no other cables interfering with the Bluetooth connection.
3. When did the problem start: When did this problem start to occur? Could the keyboard be used normally before that? Have you updated your Windows system, installed new software, or made any adjustments to the keyboard settings?
4. Other device testing: If you connect the keyboard to other computers or devices, does the same problem occur?

To troubleshoot your issue, we recommend the following steps:

• Check hardware connections: Pay special attention to whether the OMNI receiver is firmly plugged into the computer's USB port.
• Reinstall Armoury Crate: Completely uninstall Armoury Crate and then download the latest version from the ASUS website and reinstall it.
• Update drivers: In addition to updating Windows and chipset drivers, we also recommend that you check and update the keyboard firmware.
• Reset the keyboard: Please refer to the keyboard's user manual to find the method to reset the keyboard.

If the above methods still do not solve the problem, please provide the following information:

• Computer model
• Operating system version
• Armoury Crate version
• A video recording: Record a video of the process of trying to connect the keyboard so that we can better understand the problem.
• The solutions you have already tried
• Armoury crate log

The logs contain detailed information about the software's operation and can help the team identify the problem.
Please ensure that the logs accurately record the occurrence of the issue.

Thank you for your reply. I am having trouble taking a video, it always show up dark but I will do my best to answer the questions.

1. Correct, I cannot get it to work in either Bluetooth or Wireless 2.4G. Connected by cable I am able to view it in both devices in WIndows and also change attributes within Armoury Crate. I am unable to do the firmware update though.
2. I removed the dongles and even removed the Gladius III Aimpoint dongle just to make sure there was no confusion. As soon as I unplug the USB cable, it disappears from the list and does not appear when I add device.

3. The problem started right from the get go when I unboxed it on Saturday. 

4. I have tried connecting it via Bluetooth and Wireless to my wife's labtop with no luck.

I have gone to the stage where I removed every cable and reinserted them, I have changed USB 2.0 ports. I have done a complete Windows rebuild ensured all drivers were updated. I used Armoury Crate Uninstall and did a complete new install of that including updating everything. The Keyboard will just simply not pair wirelessly or via Bluetooth. I even went as far as turning the PC's wireless feature off.

You mention in the notes to refer to Q5, what is APP Diagnostics. I have no idea what you are talkking about.

How do I attach the LOG DATA? it won't  let me paste the file.

I have an update.

So I managed to update the Scope II to the correct firmware, but my Omni Receiver version differs to other users. Mine is 4.00.02 whereas Nate152's is 6.00.19.

When I tried attaching the keyboard to my wife's laptop it didn't work. I then did a clean install of Armoury Crate Gear to her laptop, a plain old i5 HP running Win 11 Home, and managed to pair the keyboard. This has now proven there is nothing wrong with the keyboard.

So it is obviously something else. My thoughts were the I/O ports. I am meant to use USB 2.0 for both the OMNI receiver and the keyboard, is that right? Nate a moderator has been monitoring this.

Should I reload Windows again???? and only install my keyboard and mouse or something like that? Could the GlaiusIII Aimpoint be causing RF interference?? Why the difference in dongle firmware??

I use usb 3.0 ports and works fine.

Now that you've updated to the ROG Omni Receiver with Armoury Crate Gear, uninstall Armoury Crate Gear and install Armoury Crate version 3.2.11.2. - Armoury Crate - Support (asus.com)

Check for updates at the Armoury Crate update center.

I had already removed Armoury Crate Gear, and it hadn't worked. All I did was close iCue and move dongles and cables to USB3.0 connectors and it worked instantly.
