Hi, I just bought the ROG Strix Flare II Animate keyboard and the AniMe Matrix setting that I set up doesn't seem to be a permanent one.
I would like to either:
* set it to a specific audio or system function and use the said function across different setups or
* turn off the blinking ROG logo completely.
The selected animation works as long as I don't restart my system and the Armoury Crate software is installed. This software can not be installed on a professional setup.
The color change is permanent; the issue is with the AniMe Matrix.
I would expect turning off is at least possible somehow since it's quite annoying. I have found several other people with the same issue but without a solution.
Thank you for your help!

Hi @asdfsadfsdfsadf ,
thank you for providing the information. So, just to confirm, your current issue is that no matter what mode you set the Anime Matrix to and even after saving the settings, when you reconnect the keyboard, the animation reverts to default, correct? Or does the animation only revert to default after you restart the system?
Furthermore, please note that Anime Matrix settings are configured using the Armoury Crate software. If your computer does not have this software installed, you won't be able to set up the animation.
Could you please record Armoury Crate logs and provide a screenshot of the Armoury Crate update center page for our reference? If possible, you can also record a video demonstrating the issue for us. Please confirm that the logs accurately captured the issue when it occurred.
(Start recording > Set animation > Save settings > Reboot > Restore default animation > Enter Anime Matrix > Stop recording)
For log operation steps, please refer to Q5: What is App Diagnostics? (New Feature)

After recording the log, please upload it to the cloud, approve access, and PM me the link.
Thank you.

Hi @asdfsadfsdfsadf ,
based on your question, could you please provide more details about the current issue you're experiencing?
What do you mean by "set it to specific audio or function"?
Regarding turning off the blinking ROG logo completely, do you want no indicator to appear at all, or do you want to change the lighting effect?
You can edit the lighting profile, and currently, there are three modes to choose from: animation mode, system mode, and music mode.
What do you mean by "can not be installed on a professional setup"?
What is your current lighting profile mode?
Could you record a video of the issue occurring for our reference?
Also, have you make sure that the keyboard firmware is at the latest version?
Have you try using official uninstall tool to reinstall the software?
Additionally, kindly provide the product serial number via private messege to me.
Thank you.

Hi
thanks for your reply!
Both the firmware and the Armoury Crate is up to date and I have also tried the uninstall+reinstall combo.
By "set it to a specific audio or system function" I meant the system mode or music mode. The mode itself works as long as the keyboard is connected to a device which has the Armoury Crate installed and running.
By "This software cannot be installed on a professional setup." I meant that the software cannot be installed on a setup where security is an important topic and the company policy forbids such an installation (rightfully so).
The issue itself can be reproduced quite easily:
1.: Set up AniMe Matrix with Armoury Crate (the issue will appear with every mode/profile).
2.: Either connect the keyboard to a different setup(with no Armoury Crate installed) or restart the setup that has the Armoury Crate installed.
3.: Animation automatically changes back to the default ROG logo animation.
I would like a permanent solution to set the animation to anything else but the ROG logo. So far it seems like the animation cannot be saved.

Hi,
Yes the animation will reset If I reconnect the keyboard or If I restart the system. In such cases I have to restart the Armoury Crate to have the desired result.
"Furthermore, please note that Anime Matrix settings are configured using the Armoury Crate software. If your computer does not have this software installed, you won't be able to set up the animation." - Reflecting on that I understand that the software is necessary to set up the animation. But I would expect that once it was set up I should be able to remove the software and the animation (or a permanent setting like disabling the animation) should be stored on the keyboard. Similarly to the keyboard light color settings.
I will record the log and send you the link in the following days.
