After 6 years of use, spatha mouse did not charge the battery for more than 10%, I thought that battery was dead from long use.
i ordered two batteries from AliExpress 3.7 volts, and when I installed them, the batteries were about 80% charged, and with daily use the charge dropped to 5%, I put mouse on the charging base for 6 hours and was surprised that the battery charge did not exceed 10%, and I tried the other new battery and the same issue occurred, there is no charge.
I back to old battery, which was 0% discharged, and tried to charge it, and the same issue, the charge did not exceed 10%, and same issue with usb cable,
I checked the battery contacts with the mouse and it output 4.7 volts after checking it ..But despite this, all the batteries do not charge.....
at this moment mouse work only with cable

Hi @vip_vooo ,
Thank you for contacting us.
We understand your concern about the inability to charge your mouse.
Generally, electronic products, especially battery-powered ones, will gradually degrade in performance after prolonged use, which is a normal phenomenon. Considering that your mouse has been in use for six years, the battery and other related components may have reached the end of their lifespan.
To provide you with a better user experience, we recommend that you consider replacing your mouse with a new one. Thank you.

Expensive mouse fail after 6 years
I remember that I was using a a cheap Chinese mous that worked for me for more than 7 years without any issus and I go to Spatha and the surprise is that I will return to the Chinese mouse again because expensive Spatha cannot withstand 6 years of work "vedio edit"
i worried about my new keyboard Claymore II "will dead after 5 or 6 year"...
any way I will take your advice and buy another new mouse, but it will definitely not be from Asus

Hi @vip_vooo ,
Thank you for your response. The batteries in electronic products have a limited lifespan. Continuing to use an aging battery may pose safety risks, such as battery swelling or leakage. Additionally, we do not recommend attempting to disassemble the battery yourself, as this could lead to battery damage and potential safety hazards.
To ensure your safety, we suggest replacing your mouse with a new one to avoid any potential issues. Alternatively, you can take your mouse to the nearest official service center for further assistance.
Thank you.

I contacted Asus official service center in Egypt and they all told me that "there is no maintenance for spatha"

My Spatha battery died after almost 6 years and I bought a replacement battery of the same size and voltage from AliExpress similar to the original battery, but the battery after its first charge did not charge again.
I searched the forum and found many people complaining about the same issue.... Replacement batteries and they don't charge after first discharge.
I thought Asus did something to make non-original battery not charge, so I removed the chip from the original Spatha battery and installed it on the replacement battery, but same issue.
Finally, I had a larger battery similar in size to the old Nokia phone batteries that I bought from AliExpress, it was labeled 1200mAh and 3.7V, but after measuring it I found that it was outputting 3.9V, I plugged it into spatha and left it on charging base for 1 hour and surprisingly the battery was charging.
I found it difficult to install it inside spatha , so I removed the old battery holder and cut a plastic part to move speed button light,
and finaly battery was installed, and so far it's been a day since it was installed, I will update my experience after a week of use.

Failed spatha again .. doesn't charge the other battery
I'm not going to waste my time anymore with an expensive piece of crap and this will be my last Asus product.
Ironically, I'm waiting for the same fate with Keyboard clayrmore II

Hi @vip_vooo ,
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issue you're experiencing.
As mentioned before, generally, electronic products, especially battery-powered devices, have a limited lifespan. Over time, battery performance will gradually decline, which is a normal wear and tear phenomenon. When the battery is aged to the point where it cannot function properly, replacing the entire product is a common solution.
Therefore, if the problem you are currently experiencing is indeed caused by battery aging, we recommend that you consider replacing your mouse with a new one.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you.
