I encountered an interesting feature with the ROG Delta headphones: there is a delay in the activation of the microphone. This is a delay in turning on the microphone, not input lag. The microphone itself transmits sound quickly, in just milliseconds, but it takes quite a long time to turn on, about 2-3 seconds. For example, if I am playing a game where the microphone is activated by pressing a button, when I press the talk button, the microphone starts recording only after 2-3 seconds, which means that the first words I say within those 2-3 seconds are not heard!
I have not found an official solution or fix for this problem! Armory Crate does not help!
However, this activation delay can be avoided if the microphone is kept on constantly. For instance, you can open Discord and join any channel, then set the microphone to always be on in the settings, instead of activating by pressing a button. Alternatively, you can open the sound control panel and go to the RECORDING tab, where the microphone is also activated to transmit sound decibels. This way, you simply open Discord or the sound control panel, minimize them, and they run in the background, allowing you to play the game without the microphone activation delay.
If any representatives from Asus ROG are reading this, please address this issue with the microphone activation delay! The microphone is good and transmits sound quickly, but it takes too long to turn on!
