ROG Chakram (not x) 2.4ghz pairing

Hello I lost my 2.4ghz dongle for my ROG Chakram (not x) so I ordered a new one from eBay (definitely the exact same/correct dongle) and cannot get it to pair with my mouse. The dongle is detected correctly in device manager as well as in Armory Crate but holding the pairing button while mouse is in 2.4ghz mode until the mouse blinks green does nothing. It works fine on Bluetooth and while wired but I cannot get it to pair with the new 2.4ghz dongle. The joystick doesn't work in Bluetooth mode, only 2.4ghz mode so using Bluetooth mode is out of the question. Any help would be much appreciated.

based on your question, may I ask if you have tried using the official Armoury Crate uninstall tool to remove the software and reinstall it? 

Have you also confirmed the issue with the seller? 

Please make sure that both the receiver and the firmware of your ROG Chakram are up to date. 

Additionally, please provide a screenshot of the Armoury Crate update center page.
