ROG Azoth Not Detected by Armoury Crate

I recently purchased a ROG Azoth X keyboard and am experiencing an issue where it is not being detected by Armoury Crate.

  • The keyboard connects via both wired USB-C and wireless 2.4 GHz (Omni Receiver) without issue.

  • In Device Manager, the Omni Receiver is recognized, and the keyboard appears as a generic HID device.

  • When using ASUS’s web driver detection tool, the keyboard is correctly identified. It can also be correctly identified as bluetooth.

  • However, in the Armoury Crate application, the keyboard does not appear at all — it’s not listed as a connected device. Neither the dongle or the keyboard appear. I tried both wired connection and wireless connection, all can't.

  • I attempted using my previous ROG keyboard, which worked before — but now that keyboard also fails to show up in Armoury Crate when connected.
  • I have verified that Armoury Crate and all available updates (via Update Center) are installed.

  • I also attempted the following without success:

    • Reinstalling Armoury Crate using the official uninstall tool

    • Resetting the keyboard (Fn + Esc)

    • Re-pairing the keyboard via Omni Receiver

    • Plugging in directly using the original USB cable in wired mode

    • Verifying that multiple HID devices with VID_0B05 are present in PowerShell

I am really frustrated by this issue, can someone kindly help me with it 😞

Hi @recyi11 ,

thank you for providing the detailed description. Regarding the ROG Azoth X not being detected in Armoury Crate, and other ROG keyboards that previously worked also showing the same issue, please follow the steps below to verify:

  1. Have you used the Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool to fully remove and then reinstall the software?
  2. In Device Manager, please check if the Omni Receiver appears under “Human Interface Devices (HID)” without any exclamation mark.
  3. Try connecting to different USB 2.0 / 3.0 ports, especially those directly on the motherboard’s rear I/O, avoiding extension cables or USB hubs.
  4. Connect the ROG Azoth X to another Windows PC (with Armoury Crate installed and ROG Keyboard module enabled) to verify if the issue is specific to your current software environment.

If the device still cannot be detected, please collect the Armoury Crate application diagnostic logs:

Armoury Crate → Settings (gear icon) → About → App Diagnostics → Enable logging

Reproduce the issue, save and compress the log files, upload them to cloud storage, and share the link/ product serial number along with the time the issue occurred via PM box to us.

Thank you for your cooperation. We will proceed with further analysis based on the information you provide.

Hi @0xmints ,

may I confirm if you are also experiencing an issue where your keyboard cannot be detected by Armoury Crate?

  1. Please let us know the exact model of your keyboard.

  2. Have you tried different connection methods (e.g., wired USB, wireless 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) and still found it undetectable?

  3. Did this issue occur right from the first time you used the keyboard?

  4. Have you tried using the official Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool to fully remove and then reinstall the software for verification?

If the issue persists, please:

  • Generate an Armoury Crate application diagnostic log and share the cloud link with us. (

Armoury Crate → Settings (gear icon) → About → App Diagnostics → Enable logging.

Reproduce the issue, save and compress the log files, upload them to cloud storage, and share the link/ product serial number along with the time the issue occurred via PM box to us.)
  • Send us the product serial number via private message.

We will forward the information to our technical team for further analysis. Thank you for your cooperation.
