Hello.
I read the similar post from 2023 - but it didn't help.
My Azoth - doesn't respond at all. Doesn't react to connecting to PC. No LEDs, no notification.. the PC doesn't recognize even connecting as a device - like total "caput". I used multiple USB ports, original and secondary USB cable. Tested on a PC and a laptop, even connecting to wall charger - doesn't show any activity.
The warranty has just finished this June (surprisingly), so I cannot even send it back...
When I opened the case - nothing looks burnt or disconnected - like brand new.
Could you please help with any kind of root cause analysis? Afterall the $250 keyboard should last longer than warranty period + 15% 🙂

Hello Bombardino
Use the original cable that came with your ROG Azoth, some usb-c cables are for charging only.
1) Connect the original cable to your keyboard and a pc usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.
2) Set the wireless switch on your keyboard to wired mode (switch set to the center position).
3) Connect the wireless dongle to a pc usb port.
The above should give you functionality in wired mode.
4) Install the firmware update to update to the ROG Omni Receiver. If you already did this, disregard. - ROG Azoth | Gaming keyboards|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global
5) After installing the firmware update, check for updates in Armoury Crate. Your keyboard is set up to do the updates.
6) If nothing is helping, try resetting your keyboard by pressing and holding Fn + Esc keys until the led's flash green.
Is the reset successful?

- done
2) Set the wireless switch on your keyboard to wired mode (switch set to the center position).
- done. (still no reaction)
3) Connect the wireless dongle to a pc usb port.
- the dongle I lost unfortunately...
I installed the latest firmware but the keyboard is still not-recognized.

One more important note that may be relevant in this case - I bought this keyboard as a pre-owned. It's Serial: R5MPKR021824
If you have any records of repairs/services of this unit - they may help.
I believe I should be able to perform somewhat of self-service repair if you guide me into what to look at.
Thank you for the help in advance!

I don't work for ASUS, so I won't be able to help with the serial number. It's possible the previous owner may have already registered it. Depending on your region, ASUS gives a 1-year warranty from the purchase date, so as you say, returning it isn't an option.
Without the wireless dongle, you won't be able to do the updates in Armoury Crate.
1) Did performing a reset help or show any reaction from the led's when pressing and holding the Fn + Esc Keys?
2) Does your ROG Azoth show any signs of life or getting power when connected in wired mode?
3) In wired mode, your ROG Azoth should show in device manager under "Mice and other pointing devices", does your ROG Azoth show in device manager?

1) No. (I tried both connected and dis-connected).
2) No
3) No, it's is not recognizable by any of the systems.
that's why I believe it must be something hardware-related.
Is there any thing I can check? I have a meter and somewhat relevant engineering degree. - are there any diagrams I could check?

No diagrams that I'm aware of, but there is an ROG Azoth disassembly video.
Has your ROG Azoth worked at all since purchasing it? If not, you might want to contact the seller.
Since it shows no signs of life or getting power in wired mode, my suspicion is an issue with the usb-c port.

Thanks for the video - but since it can be a socket issue - the video doesn't help.. 😕 Thank you though!
I will do some port testing.

by the way - is it possible to buy an extra 2.4Hz dongle and pair it back with the keyboard? (since the original is lost?)

ASUS doesn't sell wireless dongles separately, but I see some for sale on e-bay.
