Greetings,
I just got a new Falcata today and I see no way to change the behavior of the Copilot key in Gear Link. If you can please see the steps taken and let me know how to change the behavior of the Copilot key, I would appreciate it.
Here are the settings I used and this was tested on every profile in Gear Link.
"Normal" Mode
Rapid Trigger physical switch set to off.
Browser: Tried Chrome first, then Edge
Wired connection. Both sides connected via included Link cable.
Firmware is updated to 8.00.19 (latest version per Gear Link).
Tried without Companion app installed then with Companion app installed.
- Default value is Copilot and cannot be changed.
- Assigning a keyboard function like Right Control does not work.
- I tried many different assignments here to see if they would type out. For example, if I remap Copilot to the letter "A", then open Notepad, the letter "A" will not be typed when clicking the Copilot key.
- Now, when I go back to Gear Link it shows the Copilot key as Disabled - even though I did not disable it.
- Similarly, setting a Quick Access / DKS / MT does not work and again when I go back into Gear Link it shows Copilot as disabled.
- At this point, even if I set Copilot back to the default value of Copilot, it literally does nothing. Even after hitting the "Reset" button within Gear Link. If I have not yet edited the Copilot button on a different profile, the Copilot button will open Copilot on that other profile. However, once I attempt to remap, the above problem occurs again.
- What is even more strange is that although the Copilot key will at this point literally do nothing, pressing Fn+Copilot does open the shortcut menu, as expected.
Thank you in advance.
