Hi @wotwotwot ,

based on your issue, can you please confirm if the keyboard was functioning properly before the firmware update? Additionally, could you please assist in answering the following questions:

  1. Have you tried connecting the keyboard to other devices and checking if the issue occurs?
  2. Have you tried using the official Armoury Crate uninstall tool to uninstall and reinstall the software?
  3. Is there any specific key where the issue of repeated input occurs?
  4. Could you provide a video of the issue occurring for our reference?
  5. Can you provide a screenshot of the Armoury Crate update center page and the logs for our reference?

The logs contain detailed information about the software's operation and can help the team identify the problem.
Please ensure that the logs accurately record the occurrence of the issue.
Here are the steps to collect Armoury Crate logs:
Please refer to Q5: What is APP Diagnostics? (New Feature)
https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1043747/#a14
Once you have completed the above steps, please upload the collected log files to a cloud storage service and send us the link via private message.
Also, please provide us with your product serial number.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.

  1. yes, two machines, one windows 10, the other windows 11. happens on both. windows 10 machine is using bluetooth and windows 11 machine is using wireless dongle
  2. it happens when no software is installed, there is no requirement for the software to be installed to prevent the issue. remember, this didn't happen prior to me updating the firmware
  3. happens to every key
  4. https://streamable.com/ec7em3
  5. armoury crate is uninstalled on my machine, I want as little as possible to do with it as it's a bloated, intrusive mess. I had to install it because the keyboard locked out (3rd time it's happened) and wouldn't let me access the keyboard menu for volume, brightness, bluetooth etc. I had to reset the keyboard and reinstall armoury crate temporarily to write my preferred settings to the keyboard again. I also updated the firmware. After I uninstalled it.

in my oopinion you've made a change in this current ffirmware version which has broken the fundamental operation of this keyboard.

lets just get this out on the table, you're asus and you couldn't care less which, has become very apparent over the last few months but it's really always been the case

your care for customers is fatally bad and you'll do everything in your power to send me down a black hole of endlessly obtaining data/information to avoid helping and you'll never actually work the problem with good communication, openness and honesty - it's the same record getting repeated over and over and I'm done listening.

this process right here in this thread is going to end in an rma when it really doesn't have to and it'll be at cost to me as this keyboard is out of warranty and regardlless of your £375m net profit in 2023 there'll be no exceptions to me paying you in the end and that just isn't going to happen.

if anything, this experience has helped me dump another junk asus product as the further away I am from your products the better as my confidence in your company is so far into the gutter that I'd take almost any other option over dealing with you

so my fix for anyone reading in the same situation... buy a different keyboard, these muppets at asus have your money and that's where the story ends and they'll never change, it's as brutal as that.

here's my advice asus, on how to fix this problem

    • reset the current firmware revision for this keyboard in production to the previous working version
    • deploy whatever needs to be deployed to that bloated mess armoury crate
    • allow me to revert the current firmware revision on my keybboard so i can fix this disgusting problem you've created
    • do it fast, this isn't a month/year long problem to solve, you could probably do it in less than a week - shouldn't take long to revert the current firmware and deploy it to live
    • then at least i can sell this piece of junk to someone else and it'll work as it did before
    • openly and honestly communicate the issue you created, the problem it caused and what you have done to rectify it

look carefully through this post and you'll see the double typed letter - I've left them unedited because at this stage it's almost funny that a £200 keyboard can be totally gimped like this

I am experiencing the same problem in Turkey. I sent it to the service twice and they said there was no problem. The keyboard presses twice, if there is no solution for this, should we return our keyboards?

Same problem In France. Randoms keys repeating from time to time. Thought it would be some junks but after a deep cleaning, still happens sometimes.

Seems like peripheral drivers messed up, my keris ("i" tapped twice for example) started stuttering.

Setup :

Ryzen 9 7900X

Asus B650I Rog

Corsair Ram

Rog Azoth

Rog Keris Aimpoint

Same issue here, I noticed that few weeks ago and I first thought that it was just bad switches, but after replaced them a dozen of time any time a key was repeating, I'm now sure it's a firmware issue/ Armoury crate issue.

@Aureliannn_ROG what is the solution to this? what is the estimated timeframe for a resolution?
does gamers nexus need to pull asus up on this also ?
