Harpe Ace II (SPEEDNOVA 8K RECEIVER) isssue

I've purchased the mouse recently and since it was sometimes disconnecting, I went to update the firmware through the GearLink site.

The disconnections seem to be gone but a new issue was introduced; now after booting my PC, I need to physically re-plug the receiver for it to start working.

Simply disabling/enabling it in the device manager does not work, which also rules out workarounds like running a PowerShell script through Task Scheduler on startup to disable/enable the device.

I've also tried installing Armoury Crate and updating both devices there (for some reason the option was present) but nothing changed.

Until there's a firmware fix for the receiver, is there any way to downgrade its version?

Hi @Ulfhedinn

Are you able to record this behaviour by enabling logs in Armoury Crate? Make sure to reboot after enabling logging and then instigate/correct the problem by unplugging and plugging the receiver back in - then click Generate Log.

Then upload here via Google Drive or other file sharing service, please.

Please also list full system specs, and upload a sysinfo file if possible.

    • Press Windows + R.

    • Type: msinfo32

    • Press Enter.

  • Wait for data to load

On the left, make sure System Summary is selected.

Save the full system info (.NFO)

    • Go to File → Save…

Thanks

Hello @Ulfhedinn,
ROG Harpe Ace II does not have a firmware version labeled V00.04.08.00 or anything similar.
To ensure the update process is correct, please try running the attached Firmware Update Tool and perform a manual update again:

ROG Harpe Ace II – Firmware Update Tool v1.0.0.16

  • DG: 9.00.07

  • MS: 8.00.11

If you still encounter any issues after running the tool, please let us know.
We also recommend sharing a short video showing the issue or update process, as it will greatly help our investigation.

Thank you!

I've already used the tool before. The one you attached still says that my firmware is up to do date with the same versions you have posted.

The GearLink site also confirms the same version.

Hello @Ulfhedinn , thank you for your reply
If you have already confirmed that all firmware versions are up to date but the issue still persists, could you please record a short video showing the problem as it occurs?

Please also include the mouse firmware version page in Armoury Crate within the video, so our technical team can verify the necessary details.

Thank you for your cooperation!

@Aureliannn_ROG sent you the video!
