Not sure what it is, but as of a month ago, even though machine is specced with
i9, 64gb ram and the gtx4070, any game with even a bit of decent graphic quality, causing the laptop to stutter in games where before it had no issues playing them.
Is it a case of thermal paste already dried up, a bad drive from Asus or Nvidia? I have tried reinstalling both CPU and Graphics drivers, from Nvidia, but no change. This behaviour is very concerning.

Since you mentioned that the issue started a month ago, to rule out any compatibility problems caused by drivers, have you tested with the ASUS-verified display driver version?
Additionally, could you provide the GPU and Fan Mode settings in Armoury Crate, as well as the temperature changes while gaming? This information will help us further diagnose the issue. Thank you!

Have you tried using Turbo mode to see if the issue persists? If the overheating problem continues even after using the verified drivers, we recommend sending your laptop to a local service center for further inspection and issue confirmation.
