Hello all!

This is my first post. I have laptop asus g16 GA605WI. I would like to connect additional monitor Lenovo ThinkVision T34W-30 via USB-C. When i connect it, there are three options:
1. Everything is OK.
2. Nothing changes (no charge, no picture on monitor).
3. Laptop shut down.

When i connect it via HDMI, monitor works fine, but i want power delivery from monitor too, so would be perfect if i know how to fix it.

My system info:

Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 24H2
Installed on ‎24/‎12/‎2024
OS build 26100.2605
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.36.0
BIOS 306
GeForce 566.36

I would like to confirm with you if the Type-C connection works properly for display when both the laptop and the monitor are connected to separate power sources.
You mentioned that you want to receive power delivery from the monitor. We would like to clarify if this means connecting the monitor to the laptop and using the monitor to charge the laptop?
Please share with us the connection method you tested and the brand/model of the cable used. This will help us further investigate the issue. Thank you!

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.

Hello.
Well, when i use that monitor the day i made topic, so monitor worked properly with separate power sourses (left Type-C, right i didn't try). But today with separate power sourses left Type-C - display blinks, right Type-C - display works fine.

You mentioned that you want to receive power delivery from the monitor. We would like to clarify if this means connecting the monitor to the laptop and using the monitor to charge the laptop? - Yes, this works fine with my ThinkPad laptop. The monitor have 75W charge power.

Please share with us the connection method you tested and the brand/model of the cable used. This will help us further investigate the issue. -
I use default Type-C cable, that was delivered with monitor. I can read on it "Full USB 3.1 Gen 1.5A CM-CM". Other info on it is unreadable. With that cable ThinkPad works fine.
When i tried to launch laptop connected to the monitor, so boot ended when i saw red "Republic of gamers" logo and laptop shut down.
When i tried to connect monitor to booted laptop, so monitor didn't start to work and charge didn't go, but monitor went out from standby mode (it's saw that it connected). Then i tried to connect via HDMI - everithing OK. And later, when laptop was on standart charge i tried one more time to connect via left Type-C and it started to work.

PS. Sorry for my english 😀
