Basically the same issue as stated there: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-notebooks/zephyrus-g16-2024-shutting-down-when-under-load/td-p/...
Bought my laptop one month ago. It's fresh new. Did not disassembly it, but really want to already. My temps are good for the most part (Cinebench R23 multicore for 10 minutes - around 18-18.5k points, temps did not exceed the maximum; Furmark - stress test 30 minutes - did not exceed 78 degrees iirc, and it was done in full resolution 8xMSAA). I've also ran 3DMark's TimeSpy benchmark around 30 times in a span of the last month or so - no issues. My settings are 105w on GPU + 20w dynamic boost, fans are default or tweaked a little bit to spin up earlier at around 70 degrees for both CPU and GPU.
Windows 11 64 bit, BIOS 323, latest NVIDIA game ready drivers (although I did test with the ones that came with the laptop being pre-installed studio drivers), EVERYTHING is updated to the latest versions. I've triple checked the stability of the system using MyASUS utility - no problems were found.
Whenever I play high demanding game (and not even demanding game sometimes) like Silent Hill 2 (all maxed out + DLSS + FG), COD:BO6 (same here), STALKER 2 (same) - the system shuts down, it can be after 10 minutes or 3 hours. I've scaled down the GPU power to 95w (default for Turbo) and even lower, same was for CPU boost (on and off) - doesn't matter. Sometimes it works okay, sometimes it shuts down the whole PC. I'm really tired of this and initially I thought that I did something wrong, but when the same things were happening after FULL system wipe and pre-installed drivers and settings (including Armoury Crate) - the same was happening. I thought maybe temps were bad and Liquid metal was applied badly, but as I've stated - temps are okay as far as I understand.
I've sent a request on the website to sent this laptop to the repair center, but given that this laptop was bought in USA and I'm currently in Vietnam - i'm feeling like my warranty "doesn't work" here. I'm also noticing a lot of reports across the web (reddit, asus forums here, somewhere else) that the same happens for other users. I don't understand what's the problem and feels like this message will be closed down too as well as the others, but I want to hear from real people if this is something that happens to you too, preferably for the same Zephyrus G16 RTX 4090. If so - did anyone find a solution?
If repair service will tell me that they won't fix it / my warranty is not viable here / it will take half a year of waiting and etc. - I'm gonna tear it apart myself and get rid of the liquid metal and change to PTM, maybe that will help...
Loving this laptop, but when this is happening after a long day of working and I cannot enjoy anything gaming related on a laptop costing $3000 - i'm getting really unsatisfied and as an idiot for buying it in the first place, given the same was happening on my previous G15.
P.S. I'm using the original power brick connected directly to the wall

Regarding your issue, please download HWinfo and start recording the log 10 minutes before the game begins, and also record a gameplay video. Kindly provide the following information via private message, and I will forward it to the technical team for further analysis:
After the shutdown occurs, please use the AsLogDumptool to capture the system information for further analysis. Thank you.

I have the AMD GA605WI HX370 variant
I have also encountered similar behavior under heavy load that laptop would restart.
Happens when I'm compiling/building lots of code and laptop starts hitting high loads.
Running internal GPU, Laptop is plugged to AC charger, It's mainly CPU is under load.
Suddenly screen goes black, and screen reboots.
Does your laptop shutdown or reboot?

Mine rebooted, I remember, but the past ten times it was just a shut down, like the power went off

Hey brother, I have a fix for you, after applying this you should no longer face any crashes under any circumstances unless it's hardware related, note that if you change your SSD in the future like upgrading to a larger one, you will need to reapply these steps to the new SSD, best of luck!

Hey man, thank you very much for your suggested fix. Will try it out right now! Given that this problem occurs randomly - I will update the OP and leave the comment here after a while (at least 1 week, I think it's reasonable). Just had my laptop turned off once again, but usually the next boot it doesn't happen (at least right away). Will do as proposed in your post and keep updated! Thanks mate!

For sure that's reasonable, take as much time as you need! For me some times it would take hours before a shut down and other times it'd happen almost right away, it was very finicky on when it decided to shut down on me lol, happy holidays!

Greetings!
Unfortunately for me - didn't seem to change anything, tried the steps provided in the original post and youtube guide thrice. Maybe I did something wrong, not sure, but followed each step as was described. Decided to test with Armoury Crate installed while still using G-Helper. I know, I know, this could be the reason easily, but Armoury Crate is very limited for the precise tweaking I wanted. And when so many people reported to use G-Helper and uninstalled Armoury Crate (youtuber named JustJosh, as an example, with exactly the same laptop) - seems like it's really a gamble with the laptop you have. Or again - I did something else and messed up some software/BIOS parts. Will update if this is the fix (although as reported initially - this has happened with AC and without G-Helper, but I never tried reinstalling it)

It seems like the issue could be related to thermal limits or power delivery under heavy load. Have you tried monitoring CPU and GPU temperatures during these tasks to identify potential overheating, happy holidays!😊
