Zephyrus G15 USB-C malfunctioning

Hi everyone,

I own an ASUS Zephyrus G15 (GA503RM). The USB-C ports are not working and Windows is showing a code-43 error for UCM-UCSI ACPI in the Device Manager. Has anyone experienced this error before? If it is a hardware-related issue on the motherboard? Can anyone guide which component needs to be replaced?

Hi Anbby,

Thank you for your reply. I had followed the procedure, but it didn't work. So I followed the solution on the following URL on Reddit. 

[Tutorial] Fix UCM-UCSI ACPI Device 43 Error After Update Nvidia driver : r/ZephyrusM16 (reddit.com)

I uninstalled the UCM UCSI ACPI driver and then opened the laptop. I disconnected the battery from the motherboard. I pressed the turn-on key for 60 seconds. Then connected the battery again. I charged the laptop and turned it on. Again reinstalled the UCM UCSI ACPI driver, and the problem was gone.

Hi @Mohsan_Niaz ,

Please try updating the BIOS to the latest version 318. After that, uninstall the UCM-UCSI ACPI and Type-C related drivers in Device Manager, then restart your computer and let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers to see if the issue improves. Thank you.
